He took the oath as the 8th Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 7, 2021, after the 2021 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election.

Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu

First Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu

Agaram Subbarayalu Reddiar served as the first chief minister of the Madras Presidency. He held the position of President of the Cuddalore Taluk Board in 1912.
